MUSIC

In his concerts, Marwan blends his own compositions—featuring poems by Maram al-Masri and Anise Koltz—with arrangements of works by Marcel Khalifa and Jeff Buckley, as well as classical guitar pieces by John Dowland and Marin Marais. Equipped with a semi-acoustic guitar, he sings in Arabic, English, and French. Electro-Arabic synthesizers and near-trap basslines create an atmosphere that is both intimate and striking.

PERFORMANCE

In his performances, his voice and the music is used as an expressive artistic material, interacting with the bodily reality created live. He explores the sound and space specific to each venue to enrich the conceptual layers and engage the audience directly. His work thrives on the interplay of repetition and transformation. He constantly evolves his performances, narratives, and melodies, infusing them with new meaning through formal changes.
